Minnesota Tax Rally 2009

Saturday, May 2, 2009

Today a tax rally was held at the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol. I attended the rally with my old man. I was very impressed of the turnout which looked to be about 3,000 patriots. Each generation needs it's own revolution to maintain liberty in the United States. The initial U.S. revolution was not a one time battle to erect a free society, it was a kickoff of an eternity of battles to keep people free from tyrannical oppression. I was disappointed by the lack of minority attendees. I feel the libertarian conservative movement need to find ways to engage this group of Americans. The message of liberty is universal and applies to all humans. Here are some pics I took of the rally, I should have videos up shortly.

How would you go about trying to recruit minorities? The liberty compact is simple and easy to follow but it lacks the "social justice" element that minorities desire. In essence its about what is equal and less about what is fair.
Sometimes people do not want to pursue happiness, they just want it handed to them.
